This secret isn't about RPF being bad, it's about OP wanting the actors to "come out" with their hot gay relationship to prove that OP was "right" that they're totally doing it. To use your rape analogy, the OP would be saying something like "Because in my personal head canon [Actor] was raped growing up, [Actor] should just come out and say that they were raped, because my intuition is usually right about these things. It's only a matter of time before it's revealed!" For one thing, just because the OP thinks they know something about the actor's private life, doesn't mean it's true. Second, even if it is true, it's still none of the OP's business.

Ohhhh. God, I never read the RPF secrets because I feel like it's all something we've seen before. I see, my bad.

To clarify a bit more, though OP may not be one of those who takes it to this extreme, the tinhatters' position is that Genevieve Padalecki and Danneel Ackles are just 'beards' the guys are using to hide their relationship. Some have gone so far as to claim that Jared's son and Jensen's daughter aren't really theirs, and to criticize the actors for "bringing children into this farce."

I personally saw someone threaten to cause Danneel to miscarry when she was pregnant (granted, the intended means was voodoo, but nevertheless that's one hell of a nasty thing to Tweet about an expectant mother and her child.) Genevieve, who played a major character on Supernatural herself one season, doesn't go to cons, and Jared was once moved to jump off stage and hug a little girl for saying something nice about her. So even though the guys are professionals and of course they get the fandom thing, I think it does have a real impact on them and their families.

Personally, I think you're taking this too far...

So what if they tinhat?

It's not like they said they stalked the actors or sent them rpf fic or bugged them in rl...

How are they taking it too far? For OP's fantasy to be true the actors and their families would have to be seriously twisted and damaged people. That is a fact. If OP actually believes this, not only are they worryingly disconnected from reality, we are totally justified in judging them for clinging to a twisted fantasy because it lets them think their masturbatory fantasies are real.
Why can't they be satisfied with RPF?

Plus, what do you think emboldens the real batshit fans to stalk and harass the actors? It's having a community of people who agree with them and encourage their fantasies.
