I got the impression that he needs to wait X more months before he's declared to be in remission. Or that he's officially in remission, but it's one of those things where you can't quite ever say that you're "cured".

Anyway, either I missed it too, or they were being purposely vague. I'm just hoping they aren't setting it up for the tired old "I need my sibling to donate" storylines. That's just not something I'm interested in seeing with these characters.

I'm p. sure that Mycroft already got the transplant. He does mention that he "didn't even think of asking Sherlock" (IIRC on the phrasing), which implied (to me at least) that he had already gotten the transplant, from a stranger donor, and hadn't even realized he hadn't thought of Sherlock until after the fact.

He did already get a transplant, but if it didn't work his doctor might want to try again. Particularly if a better match has become available.
