I have a track of hazy origin on my iPod called "Stayin' Alive in da Club," and it's exactly that--the vocals of "In da Club" by 50 Cent mixed in to "Stayin' Alive" by the Bee Gees. Even though I hate "In da Club," I love this song. It just all fits together so perfectly!

Is it an entire albbum of mashups? :O

Also, just remembered that there is a mashup of "In da Club" with the Thomas the Tank Engine theme on YouTube. Apparently those vocals fit a lot of weird things well.

Yep! It's pretty entertaining. I think the name was Q-Unit.

I think a lot of mashups fit pretty well with rap vocals because, well, it's about laying some words on top of a rhythm, and it's usually pretty easy to fit a lot of things that match up with the rhythm of the original song pretty well (especially with someone like 50 Cent who is maybe not as rhythmically complex as some other rappers). So it's quite easy to just put the rap vocals on top of the instrumental from another song.

Also works perfectly, especially when they work mix the choruses together ('Ah ah ah ah/ I want to take my clothes off') :)
