but i mean, hypothetically, is it wrong if now i kind of want someone to make a hilariously stupid, borderline-offensive BL anime out of oscar wilde's life and languish in its insufferable fandom? because if that was both created and had a fandom they would be insufferable and wanky on levels that surpass unicorns in terms of mysticism.

You laugh, but there actually was a yaoi manga about Oscar Wilde's life and it was about what you'd expect. (Robert Ross inexplicably had long blond hair.) Unfortunately it was too obscure to ever get a fandom and is probably impossible to find now.
