Whitechapel, yaaay. Is this show back on yet? (Oh, I'll just Google it in a bit.)

Anyway, I always liked the idea of them but never went looking for fic. I'm sad to hear this, because yea, those two would both have their own issues to work through and if anything I would think fic would be the perfect place to explore some of Chandler's issues in further depth, and how they might impact his relationships.

I will add though that Kent CAN be very much a teary-eyed woobie so if it's done well, then I have less problem with that.

Note, I don't particularly ship this pairing, but the one sided longing is blatant.

Yeah, this is why I don't care for the fic in this fandom. There's only so many woobie!Kent fics I can read before I can't stand it anymore. I also ship Chandler/Miles more than Chandler/Kent, but no one writes that, so. *sadface*

I ship Miles/Chandler, so I sympathize with the lack of fic, OP. And quality fic too. The Whitechapel fandom in general is WAY too small.

Kent/Chandler is a thing? I never even knew there was a fandom. I will admit that I mostly watch Whitechapel for the Rupert Penry-Jones topless scenes though...

Whitechapel has a fandom? And fanfic? :D I AM SO THERE NOW. I was planning to write fanfic anyway, but I am so glad that there is a big enough fandom for a FandomSecrets post!

I guess they're making Kent into a doe-eyed woobie because he cried that one time in Season Two after being accused of being a mole in the department and suspended and because he's the "pretty one"? Which is a terrible reason but makes sense, I suppose. But Chandler as manly, confident knight in shining armour just makes me want to guffaw because bless him, he's a neurotic mess.

It has its own section on Ao3 and a small livejournal community, here, that has been going for a couple of years. There is even a fairly active tumblr, and a texts-from-last-night variant.

I can understand frustration about lack of fic that you enjoy, I'm a Chandler\Miles shipper myself, so I can sympathize.

OT but: There seem to be more Chandler\Miles shippers out there then I thought. I feel pathetic, but I'm not above begging for some more fic here, I need a fix man.
