OP here, and I managed to play through more of it after being spoilered. The jump scares I'm a lot more prepared for. Some of the parts in game are chase scenes where you have to run and hide, though, and I get horrendously disoriented since it's in near total darkness and tend to get stuck on those sections, so they're still scary and frustrating. I don't think I want to play through the full game, but it's less terrifying now that I know what's in the dark.

Hmm, that sucks. Well, I don't know. I don't really think it's much of a big deal. You can tell people the truth if you want but you don't have to. It's not really anyone's business but yours. As long as you're happy with where you are then you're fine.
