Not exactly. I've heard great things about his Avengers run (the comic, not the movies), Firefly was good (show and movie; don't let the insane fans turn you away from it), Dollhouse was decent but held back by the sexism swicheroo (It looks like sexist trash in the first couple episodes--which is the whole point, but it takes time to drive that home).

I don't think you can really judge this show after two episodes. Have you seen early Buffy? I'm not claiming it's good, either. I'm saying it just started.

I'm not judging Agents of SHIELD. I'm not watching it, because I've already watched and tried to enjoy all his other post-Buffy TV and I am done with how clever he thinks he is.

I also think Joss Whedon was more or less forced to dial up the sex and down his other points, so people got annoyed at what they thought was more Joss Whedon sex obsession again, when really it was not his first choice. (Same thing with Inara being a "companion" in Firefly.) I'm not saying every single show cancellation was completely someone else's fault and not at all his, but a lot of "his" choices were actually Hollywood's.

Joss wanted MORE sex on Dollhouse, actually. FOX made him dial it down.
