I'm starting to think that all the OTT CC/TMI hate secrets are just one very angry anon. Or one very bored troll looking for an easy wank. One of the two.

I remember that at one of the LJ communities like CanonSues, there was a frequent poster who called herself Hoppytoad, and whose posting MO amounted to "CASSANDRA CLARE SAID/DID SOMETHING!!! RAAAAAAAAAEEEEEEEEGE!!!" I mean, this person was obsessed. For all I know, she's still at it.

I know her a little on LJ, and she's mostly all right. She just has a bit of a CC hobby-horse.

Yup. I think it must be the relative newbies who think that it's all just one or two people ragging on poor Cassie Claire, who hasn't been mean in over 10 years, yadda yadda yadda.

Sorry, no--plenty of us have been in fandom since the days of HP4GU and remember her just fine.

It's just that except for a handful of really obsessed people like you, most of us have moved on since then.
