I just wanted some fic period. But never found anything I enjoyed.

I think the best fic is found in fandoms where the show isn't the best, and there are lots of plotholes to fill in etc. When you're more or less getting everything you want from the show, it's a lot harder to find decent fic.

Massive generalisation, but yeah, there's a trend.
