I've been rewatching MacGyver and remembering exactly how much my pre-teen self was in love with him. Smart is sexy. Even my brothers were all guy-crushing on him.

Li Syaoran from Cardcaptor Sakura. I think I was really into that stoic-but-caring personality. I still have a huge soft spot for him, although it's more in a 'what a cute kid' kind of way.

Jensen Ackles on Dark Angel. First one I really remember anyway.

I can't remember if it was Tony DiNozzo from NCIS or Miroky from Inuyasha.

I know, they were both kind of assholes, and pervs. I guess I used to have a type? (Real life people like that really pissed me off, so I don't know where it came from.)

Trent Lane. Yep, exact right age and personality type to have the same stupid crush Daria did. I don't think it set a major precedent, but it did recently dawn on me that my current TV crush (Duke Crocker) hits a lot of the same buttons.

Joel Hodgson from MST3K. He laid the groundwork for what I find attractive in a man.

not counting my toddler crush on steve from blues clues, I'm pretty sure it was beast boy from teen titans. I still shipped him with raven though.

JTT. I loved him in Home Improvement more than I'd like to admit.

Myotismon/Vamdemon from Digimon (also my first crush ever). It explains a lot, in retrospect.

aaaaaaaa MacGyver yes he was mine too. Pre-teen me didn't even notice the mullet. I need to go back in time and have a talk with pre-teen me about mullets.

Oh, man. Well...let's see air dates, because it's a three-way. :)

Shaun Cassidy (Hardy Boys!) and Lucan (Kevin Brophy!) came out in '77.
And then Battlestar Galactica (Dirk Benedict!) in '78.

And then, of course, the double whammy of Leonard Whiting and Olivia Hussy from Romeo and Juliet - made in '68, but i saw that on TV at some point and fell head over heels....

I think it was Xena, though I didn't characterize it as such until I was a bit older. I still have a bit of a crush on her, partially out of gratitude and partially because she's hot and awesome. Xena inspired me to stop being horse crazy from afar and to start taking riding lessons and devote myself to it. Sixteen years later, it's still just about the best decision I've ever made.

Then one night, six year old me overheard my dad and my brother talking about how he was the worst, so my affections immediately shifted to Chandler/Matthew Perry (whom I love so much I named a cat after him).

Unfortunately, I think deep in my soul, I'll eternally be attracted to intelligent, pedantic, often times socially oblivious guys who have a tendency to be assholes. I'm holding out for a more Chandler-esque guy who's fully aware that he's an asshole but has a softer center and is equally as intelligent.

I kind of want to say David Hasslehoff... not in Baywatch, mind you, but Knight Rider. I don't think I really crushed on him, though - it was more that every other girl my age seemed to have a celebrity crush, and I thought Michael Knight was WAY cooler than all those random smiling teenage guys who they liked. :P So I said him.

In actuality, I think my first TV crush was Raphael. The ninja turtle.
