Where's the love, people?

(Anonymous) 2013-10-04 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I hate when I really want to discuss the latest episode of a show, but apparently nobody on LJ does - no responses to my posts, no reactions of their own, nada.

I miss being part of a large fandom where people got excited about things. I thought that's what fandom meant in the first place.

I so feel you, Anon. What's the show? Maybe someone here can gush with you.

People are getting pretty excited about Supernatural on Tumblr today. So, I'm gonna go with: The love is on Tumblr.

Fandom isn't about getting excited by stuff anymore. It is about sneering at it.

Sad but true.

LJ is kind dying though. You might have more luck somewhere else.

It does still suck.

I dunno, my show is still being gushed about on LJ, as are several others.... Guess it depends on what your flist is like.

:( I feel you.

I really want to squee to people about the newest Rune Factory, but nobody I know plays it. I don't know where to talk to people about it on the net (Fogu is too big and it's been a bit dramaful as of late).

What's your show? Bet you find a fellow fan here.

Yea, I get that feeling. LJ is pretty empty these days though, at least for fandom, so tumblr is probably your best bet on finding someone to discuss the show with. Which sucks since tumblr is not made for conversation...

But what can you do, man.

(Either that, make a thread here in GC about it, or hell, just go ahead and make a secret about it. Whatever works!)
