Yeah, it's one of the mysteries of the show. Also, they're abnormally light and seem to live off photosynthesis, and they can recover from almost any injury. (Which is the truly terrifying part, imo--they're really hard to kill.)

Oh, and most of them just kind of amble around, except for abnormal Titans that jump/sprint/act really aggressive.
