For the most part yeah, it did get more comments than I was expecting.

And there was something about the image I used that I didn't notice until after I used it that people commented on.

Yea, a lot of my past submissions have been things that aren't exactly secrets, just stuff I haven't had a chance to discuss with anyone. But...hey, more secrets are a good thing?

Hehe, I think I've done that once or twice. Nothing wrong with that either, and it's always fun to discuss topics you're enthusiastic about with new people! (Or just...the same people, again.)

I love making secrets, I just do it so rarely these days because most my fandom opinions are pretty common and don't feel like they warrant a secret.

I tend not to submit secrets about my main fandoms anyway - I am another one of those who submits things more because darnit there is no fandom and I have no way to discuss it with anyone. XD But indeed, good strategy!

Hah. This thread made me want to go back to the folder I stick secrets I submit in and man, some of them are for fandoms I forgot I even cared about.

EDIT: HAHA. I FOUND MY ONLY SECRET THAT GOT FAILBAR'D WAY BACK WHEN! OMG THE MEMORIES!
