It's apparently a thing from the medieval times, red hair was a sign of carnal desire and moral decay. And red hair and green eyes meant you were a witch, werewolf, or vampire. I wouldn't have included it, but I've heard both the soulless thing and the witch thing fairly recently.

I'm finding this thread really disturbing, given that, when I think about all the the systemic racism and prejudices in the world today, the fact that redheads are no longer persecuted as witches is my main support for my 'society eventually grows out of this bullshit' mantra.

Apparently it takes a lot longer for society to do so than I was figuring :/
