Whenever I see those Swiffer commercials with the two old people, I just get teary eyed. I don't know. Anyone else react to ads like this?

Whenever I see that one Nokia commercial - the one for the phone, where all the parents are fighting to get pictures at the kids' dance recital - I feel pure, unyielding, unthinking rage.

Is that the kind of thing you were thinking about?

I agree, I hate that fucking commercial.

Those Travelers insurance commercials with the little doggie who's worried about his bone being safe. Especially the one where he goes out on Christmas and steals a bone, and gets chased by a bunch of other dogs, only for it to turn out he was stealing it to bring it back for his doggie friend/girlfriend, who had its head in a cone and a hurt leg. Eeeeeeeee...too sweet. :)

That one Father's Day themed commercial about some kind of smartphone (or was it a laptop?), where the guy and his teenage son are buying it for graduation or college or something, and they speak in "guy speak" -- grunts and "whatever" and "sure", all closed-captioned as if it's in a foreign language with "I love you" and "I'm proud of you" and stuff. <3

I think it's a mobile phone commercial?

That would make sense (well, as much as it being a commercial makes sense.) My second guess was a Youtube sort of site.

Yeah, it's mobile phones. TrueMove is apparently Thailand's third largest mobile phone carrier. (And the only 4G provider, currently, which is what that ad is for.)

There was a Diet Coke one years ago where a woman was trying to teach sign language to chimps and she didn't think it was working. Then one day, she finishes her can of diet Coke and the chimps work together to get her another one. She signs "thank you" and a chimp signs back "you're welcome." That got me right there.

My mom (who is a bit older herself) HATES those Swiffer commercials. But she sees them constantly and is basically just fed up with watching them and has nothing against the people, haha.

The one with the dog growing older! It's a car commercial I think. Pets always get me...

Haha, that's smart of you tbh. For a while I actually watched them and just cried when they came on, then I got tired of it and started changing the channel.

This old Peugeot 406 one from the 1990s about a boy who saves a girl from a shark. All the rest of the ad is just meaningless filler; when it gets to the end and you see him grown up, he takes his shirt off and you see the sharkbite scar and then he goes to kiss the girl... I just cry like a baby. Not sure why that one always gets to me so much.

The Swiffer commercial is adorable. Especially with the way the husband calls her "babe."

That scifi channel one with the little alien at the orphanage with the tagline 'adopt sci fi' I wibble every time.

The one for ...Mutual of Omaha, I think? The one with "Half Acre" playing and people doing little kind things because they witnessed someone else doing a little kind thing. And the Budweiser Clydesdale commercial with the colt trying to pull the wagon and the adult horses pushing it from behind so he thinks he's the one moving it.
