You're projecting. OP didn't say that she had any personal interest in the topic, much less that particular orientation.

As the secret's presented - and as she's represented herself in previous replies - she's not gay, quietly or otherwise. She's worked up over something that she neither has a personal interest in nor is even sure it exists/is a problem. She could just as easily be a social justice warrior who either has the wrong idea or is upset that the friend isn't just like her.

The friend could just as easily be avoiding the topic because the OP is a passive aggressive pill.
