There was some activity when it was airing and right after, but I would have expected it to last until the movies came out? I don't know, I felt like it all sorta died down pretty quickly, while to me it had potential to be a years-worth fandom.

In my case it's more the surprise that it didn't become super popular, because I think it had the right cards.

Oh, and I'm in absolute love with Kotetsu, even if I usually hate anime and characters in general (asides from some notable exceptions like Wolf's Rain, Ghost in the Shell and Cowboy Bebop), so I developed this insane need to see the rest of his story... I don't usually get so attached, but goddamn this one did it for me.

As much as I love it and wished for the fandom to stay active, I never expected it to last after the canon ended. I'm actually surprised the kink meme hasn't died completely.

TBH it's really disappointing because it did had the potential to be super popular and years ago it would have been. Now?

Anime fandoms die as soon as the weekly canon is over.
The wait for the movies is too much for most people, many don't even give a chance to the manga and so, without new canon most fans lose their interest completely.
