Zimmerman made a lot of mistakes but it's not his fault that American media decided to bill that trial as purely White versus Black, which, of course, meant willfully overlooking and downplaying Zimmerman's ethnicity. And, FYI, that was a purely U.S. media thing. Foreign news programs saw it as Hispanic Man Kills Black Youth and boggled at the U.S. in general.
