I grew up in a house with strict traditional gender roles (so much so that I thought I was trans for awhile though I am not) so seeing a kid not limited like that and happy is a big deal for me. Sorry if that's offensive or something.

It's not offensive, and I'm sorry your family were assholes. But it is kind of strange that focusing on a 7 year old's gender identity is a thing.

Except for the part where I'm really not focusing on her gender identity, but on the parents who are raising her how I wished I had been raised.
