A sad confession

(Anonymous) 2013-10-07 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
I read only slash because I hate being able to imagine myself in a sexual or romantic situation. Reading about two men having a romantic or sexual relationship allows me to enjoy these things without picturing myself in there. When I read het or femslash I can't help but put myself in one of the character's place and it really ruins the experience for me.

Don't feel bad about what gets you off.

You're definitely not alone in that kink either; it's not uncommon to prefer slash since you're out of the equation.

I completely relate to this, so you are totally not alone here.
