l-lol i still need to read it.

*raises hand* I liked the concept though the ending was lame. I was really disappointed.

I can't see the final page without thinking DDR... DDR... anymore.

It's weird, normally I'm terrified of all horror manga, but for some reason Amigara Fault is just fucking hilarious. Creepy idea theoretically but the execution makes me LOL.

Granted I found it off the channel of four, but thank you. :D

It seemed more vaguely creepy(and uh, I'm far too realistic sometimes so that's probably why I went wtf so much) than downright scary. I lol'd, dammit. >:

...although later on after I'd read it, I was a little er, miffed by the thought of people blindly doing something so absurd. 8|

[identity profile] experienced.livejournal.com 2007-10-13 09:24 pm (UTC)(link)
The hole compelled them too, I guess. \o_O/ You learn not to go "lol wut why did [blank] do [blank]" when reading Junji Ito manga.

[identity profile] radarsparks.livejournal.com 2007-10-13 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Haha, well, it was my first time reading something by...him? her. IDK. I couldn't stop thinking, how could that even work?! jek;av. Although I went into it thinking I'd be really scared...idk. :/

[identity profile] experienced.livejournal.com 2007-10-13 09:28 pm (UTC)(link)
The first time I read it, I was New To The Internet and I was like "oh hey this sounds cool *downloads*" and I read the comments saying about HOW SCARY OF A MANGA THIS WAS OMG... then I read it and I was like "haha wtf that wasn't scary".

And that's how I became a fan of his works. o/

But yeah, to be horribly stretched out like that and still alive is just... lol wut. Which is what a lot of his works are.

Didn't quite laugh (it takes a lot for me to laugh), but I did roll my eyes at it, does that count?

Um, what manga is that from? No one named it in the name the fandom comment and now I'm intrigued xD

Re: 39

[identity profile] teostra.livejournal.com 2007-10-14 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
"The Enigma of Amigara Fault" or something like that. I can't recall for sure. ^^;

THIS THREAD, IT WAS MADE FOR ME

It mostly leaves me confused. None of the physics make sense. You can go forward but not back? How do bones stretch? Why didn't the people sent in just stop walking and avoid turning into DRR DRR DRR-things? D:

Because it's a horror story, not a sci-fi one. To give a logical explanation to it would not only detract from the horror factor of it, but make it even dumber than it already is.

lol look at me trying to sound SMRT D:

I DIDN'T EVEN READ IT~ My friend did though, she got scared. I just laughed. XD *only ever saw the last few pages*

Re: 39

[identity profile] dia-aren-marie.livejournal.com 2007-10-14 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
HAY THERE HONEY I READ IT TOO and I didn't really laugh but though the prospect of turning into a DDRRR DRRR thingie is a little bit 8D;; oh shit

Re: 39

[identity profile] allsunday.livejournal.com 2007-10-14 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
In late, but YES LOL!

Re: 39

[identity profile] neontehsheep.livejournal.com 2007-10-14 01:38 pm (UTC)(link)
The idea was pretty creepy, but the execution was lame and nothing came out of it. Also, it made very little sense. :| So yeah, lol.

I laughed at that part but not nearly as much as I did at the actual manga. SHARK WITH LEGS!!
