I was surprised when I got into the whole LJ hey there's a fandom out there! business. I had no idea there were still fans, and it seemed ilke there were just so many--how could it be that unpopular? They put out the remake(??) of the red and blue games, for crying out loud. Oh~I wish I could find my Electric Tales of Pikachu, haha.

Yes, exactly. It's like asking a fic writer to write in a fandom they don't care about. Sorry, but no. People who create fandom content are under no obligations to their fans to get into other fandoms.

Mhm. There's really no point in iconing something you're not into--and maybe don't even want to get into--just because it's popular. (Even if something has a really small fandom, hey, if you like iconing/ficcing it, more power to ya!)
