I love this manga/anime so much because I was Tomoko in high school! (not literally) I went through pretty much everything the manga shows - the absolute lack of friends, the not speaking with people for days, the desperately wanting to make friends while being passive about it, the stuttering and anxiety at any kind of social interaction, the weird sexual curiosity... I understand I was very pathetic back then, and still am a bit today (I haven't really outgrown it completely), but I do know I'm not the only one who relates so deeply to her.

What is this about?

It's a manga about a young girl who has some deep social anxiety issues living through high school. It's pretty honest and isn't afraid of being cringe worthy most of the time. From what I read the author tried to chronicle her own experience.
