i am always amazed by how much time and effort people invest into hating things. seriously, what's the point? do you get some sort of perverse enjoyment out of it or what?

i mean, there are plenty of things i'm not interested in but i wouldn't say i hate any of them. i'm just not interested in them, so when i see fics or whatever about them, i just scroll past. i don't understand the logic behind working yourself into a frothing rage over something's very existence. why waste that emotional energy?
