Nah. Pretzel dough comes in a variety of consistencies, and while the snack form is usually in the harder, crunchier form, soft pretzels exist, and this past summer a bunch of companies got the bright idea to start selling buns made of soft pretzel. They're delicious, slightly salty, slightly sweet, soft and chewy, and did I mention delicious?

They also come in bun form, for sandwiches and burgers.
