But from an irl perspective I get where they're coming from, especially if they're self-conscious about people remembering what they've said, and forming negative impressions that won't go away. Which is still unlikely unless you've managed to stand out so well to garner a rep (eg: weirdoes bringing up days to years-old nonsense to non-anons).
