I think people are more likely to respond to you if you're not anon, if only because you're more likely to see it. That may be positive or negative, depending on your post.

But I'd say the "niceness" of FS is about the same as most other sites, it varies up depending on who's around and if SJW has been poking people. Most people seem to be pretty reasonable here, whether they're anon or not. So as long as you're not begging sympathy for throwing hot coffee in someone's face or transparently trolling, you should be received ok either away
