But companies don't withhold medicines from the third world. They just have to pay for it like everyone else.

What? I should prove that some unnamed pharmaceutical company out of several hundred sells some certain drugs in some unnamed Third World country, when I have no idea what specific drugs are supposedly being intentionally withheld somewhere in the world. Right-o.

Actually yes, they do withhold medicines. And the one they do sell on third world countries? They sell them at twice (or even more) the price that they sell the same medicines on first world countries.

I'm not sure where you get your information from, but it's not true in many, many cases. Generally speaking, sales of drugs in first-world countries at inflated prices actually subsidizes the sale of the same drugs in third-world countries at lower prices. Hence why the "gray market" in pharmaceuticals is a thing.
