This would be the time Cyclops and Frost had the same power, right? Does anyone have it now or did it just disappear?

I'd have to go pull my copies, but from what I remember Hope took it. I'm not sure if she got rid of it or still carries it, but I think it was found that she's part of the Phoenix force herself.

She and Wanda got rid of it. "No more Phoenix."

That storyline is over and the Avengers beat it out of everyone, but not before Cyke went super fucking batshit, killing Professor X among other things.

After House of M there are very few mutants left, so in AvX, the Phoenix is coming back to Earth, and Cyclops is like "Awesome, the mutant race can use the power of the Phoenix to be reborn in its flames, it's a sign!", and Cap is all like, "You are literally eight kinds of wrong," and Cyclops was like "Nuh-uh," and Cap was like "Yuh-huh," and Cyclops was like "Nuh-uh," and Cap was like "Yuh-huh," and then everyone punched each other and the Phoenix happened and it possessed Cyclops, Emma Frost, Colossus, Namor, and Magik and they became the PHOENIX FIVE and were imbued with PHENOMENAL COSMIC POWER and then the Avengers punched them a few more times and they shut up, and then I put down the comic and went "This is literally Civil War but with Cyclops instead of Iron Man and the Phoenix instead of registration."

Cyclops was like "Nuh-uh," and Cap was like "Yuh-huh," and Cyclops was like "Nuh-uh," and Cap was like "Yuh-huh,"

Sounds like all X-Men vs. Avengers interactions in the past, but with less Wolverine.

He was there, goading Cap on and trying to kill a teenage girl.

Pretty much, except for the part where the Avengers were responsible for things spiraling out of control, and the X-Men were right about the Phoenix.

Filthy muties are never right

Also, look at the what if. The world in which the avengers failed to stop the phoenix from going into hope? HUMAN & MUTANT GENOCIDE.

Yeah, because Magneto was acting like an evil villain and manipulated Hope, not because she couldn't control it.

Having power means coping not just with the power but coping with the people around you too. If she couldn't handle the people then she couldn't control the power.

Except in the Main Universe, Magneto isn't an evil villain right now, so it's not like any of the X-Men were going to manipulate her into wiping out humanity after she got the Phoenix like they did there.

"right now"

Yes, right now he's a good guy. When Cyclops and Emma started to lose control, he went to Xavier for help.

So saying "If Hope got the Phoenix, Magneto would have manipulated her into wiping out humanity like he did in that What If mini" is silly.
