Yep. He was tied with Skye in my books for worst character, but the last episode did give her a small amount of believable character development, so now Ward is the standalone gold medalist in the So Fucking Awful, How Did Joss Even Write This event.

It ain't Joss. Joss was only involved in writing the pilot--the last two episodes have been neither written nor directed by him, so there you go.

...And yet the pilot was by far the worst episode so far...

Which pilot? The first pilot, the second pilot, or the third pilot? That's been the trouble with AoS, every episode feels like a pilot for the show. They are all introducing the world and characters at the expense of a decent storyline or actual characterization. I still can't tell which of the science bunnies is which, and the only reason I can tell Ward and Sky apart is she is the female moron and he is the male moron who isn't the balding one.
