I've noticed they DO seem to amp up the volume for kissing scenes in series and movies :( You're not wrong there. Wish I could do more than offer you my sympathies.

One time was on a packed bus, guy was right behind me, eating skittles throughout the journey, I wanted to punch him, the noise was that bad
Kissing scenes on TV yes, it does sound like they ramp up the sound. Isn't it possible to kiss without the loud smacking noises? (I'm reminded of a scene in Eastenders (not that I watch that shite, I was in the room when my father (he's obsessed with the shit) was watching it) where Zoe was kissing someone, fucking annoying)
