As much as I love Parks and Rec, I don't understand why Leslie thinks Pawnee is the best town ever when as far as I can tell it's filled with people who still live in 1814 and think Centaurs are real. I realize it's a parody of small town America, I realize the point IS that Leslie loves a town that is a bit screwed up, but I kind of loved when she told them to go screw themselves in the premier episode, even though I knew politically it was a huge mistake.

I always thought that was purposely part of the charm and humor? It's her town and she loves it, it's far from perfect but it's hers.
