His actions are not selfless and never were, the fact that his family got money out of it doesn't mean he gave them anything. Especially Jesse, who he blackmailed into getting involved in the first place. None of that shit would have ever happened to Jesse if Walt hadn't put him in that position, the fact that Walt didn't murder him is such a low standard for redemption it's ridiculous.

I seriously doubt Junior will ever forgive Walt. He has absolutely no reason to. His experience after this will be trying to escape living under the shadow of a publicly known drug kingpin and murderer. It's more likely that he will change his name legally and keep the information of his parentage from everyone but those closest to him.

Are you serious? It wasn't a rescue mission, it was a murder mission. He tried to have Jesse killed by the Nazis, then they didn't do it and he believed Jesse was working with them. When he saw Jesse he changed his mind, but that isn't rescuing. That's just changing his mind about letting Jesse die with them.
