I'm happy that is isn't allowed (as in many other countries) and I would not trust a parent (if he/she isn't a trained teacher in all the relevant school subjects) to teach the children all the required things (especially in the higher classes with difficult subject matter).
For example: to study at universities here you are required to have learned two foreign languages for the majority of the uni courses.
When you are homeschooled and your parents can't teach you a foreign language what do you do then?

It's forbidden in my country too!

Homeschooling wouldn't really work here because you probably wouldn't get a job without the official school certificates - also the foreign languages are a MUST too here, especially if you want a better paying/"higher" job. Fluent English is pretty much the standard and at least another foreign language is more than welcome/often requirement in certain jobs.
