I remember a while ago when you'd made a longer post about this, because I LOVED that game. I admit the pacing was scraping the bottom of the barrel toward the end, but it catered to the way I get scared, I think. The Silent Hill games, for example, don't scare me so much as presenting excellent atmospheres. Must be the first-person element, who knows.

It's just interesting to me how different people react to different media.
