It is a country with problems, its citizens hate non-Japanese people with a passion, and they are allowed to display racism against you whenever and however they want, because it's not against the law. You might think you'll be a lot happier there, but if you really need to 'get away from your problems,' then you should seriously consider somewhere else. This is not a flame, I am being absolutely serious. You go there as a tourist and you get the royal treatment. As soon as you go there to live, hell comes crashing down on your shoulders. Consider the UK or Australia.
