I'd say this was stupid, but I often get creeped out by Ralph Fiennes because of his role in Schindler's List. Also, this gives me an idea for a secret.

Yeah but Schindler's List was the worst. Because that was a real, evil guy. Not some (not scary to me at all) no nosed, grey dude like Voldemort. D: Though his Red Dragon role was pretty creepy.

He scared the shit out of a survivor who was visiting the Schindler's List set.

I HEARD! When he was in costume. D:

I get creeped out by Ralph Fiennes because of Francis Dolarhyde. I saw the movie something like fifteen years ago (and only once!), and I still get the shivers just mentioning that name.

I can't watch anything with Mark Harmon because I still remember him from St. Elsewhere, where he played a guy who was a real douche, but... that doesn't compare to a Nazi.

Plus he got in some kind of weird custody battle for a relative's kid in real life, which got me a little against him even though he lost.

I always just found Castiel's gravelly voice funny as hell and couldn't take him seriously because of it.

Supernatural is plagued with "batman" voices. Hearing Dean and Sam at the beginning of spn to season 9 throws me for a loop. /tangent.

Regarding your secret, that sucks, OP.

...

Dude, I totally hear it now. And I will likely never be able to not hear it.

Still love me some Castiel, though.

I just flat out hate Castiel. And Misha. Don't bother trolling me, I'm not following this thread.

I can't stand Misha or Castiel either, so you're not alone. I kind of lost interest in the show after the fourth season; I much preferred just the boys hunting monsters. The introduction of the angels just fucked everything up, in my opinion.

Interesting. I definitely hear the similarity.

Heh

I kind of love both Rorschach and Castiel, although the Rorschach love is conflicted for all the reasons you went into.

Possible hack: watch The Rapture. I don't know the second character you're talking about, so this might not be the problem, but when MC is portraying Castiel's vessel Jimmy, his voice sounds completely different - lacking most of that distinctive gravelly quality and different speech pattern. (Plus, just IMO, Jimmy is a much more interesting character than Castiel, and I wasn't particularly impressed by the actor until I saw that episode.)

Anyway, if it works it'll give you something else to think of when you hear him. (Or, you could just...not like Castiel, because he can get very very tiring and at the risk of having shoes thrown at me, this was a stronger show before the angels showed up.)
