I don't think you've missed the point. You liked the political content, but you also liked the characters. Fandom isn't actually all about reducing everything to sex, so it sounds like you would fit in fine.

Because of the placement of your secret I got stuck for five minutes trying to read the title of the book along with your secret. "In case of I want a fandom mangoes..." At least I figured it out eventually.

OH HELL YES. I want this fandom. So hard. It would be awesome. It is such a blackly hilarious book, but the romance is great, and, just, yeah.
