I have been actually considering writing a Star Trek western AU, but really, when there are so many classic westerns out there, brimming with slash potential, they don't have to be an AU.

Although, Will Graham in a cowboy hat and a lone dog by his side makes me kinda happy. Hannibal could be the rich rancher who hires him. For stuff. (SUMMARIES ARE HARD, YO.)

Not sure which Trek you mean, but I do know that Shatner, Nimoy, and Kelley were in a western together (During Trek? After Trek? Just before Trek?).

I've never seen it, but, oh, I so want to, one day.

There was one episode of Star Trek where they were they had to live out the story of the gun fight at the OK corral and they were the Clantons. I think the aliens were trying to kill them off.

I would die for a Western fandom. They're the only movies (and tv shows? oh Gunsmoke) I get hyped about.

I would kill for Britt-centered Magnificent Seven fic but that movie has no fandom, either. And then there was another classic - I think it was "The white feather" or something. So much slashy potential!

I've seen Magnificent Seven fic before, quite a bit of it. I read a little of it but i'd never seen the movie and so it was kind of confusing. But it's out there!

Was it slash for the Magnificent Seven film or Magnificent Seven tv series? The tv series has thousands of fics out there but the original archive is outdated and impossible to search. :(

Yes, sadly, that's thé TV-series. It has a pretty big fandom, but has absolutely nothing to do with the original movie (the 60s one) - so sadly, there's nothing.
