The what now?

It got ordered on just 13 episodes, with a back nine to follow if it isn't a total Firefly to bring it up to a full season. Standard practice, okay. Now when a show that is 13 and 9 starts off slow but gets renewed despite its flaws, the back nine has alterations in them to retool it into something less shaky. That is the midseason retool, a chance to fix things and provide a fresh entry point for people who are either coming in on word of mouth if it grows or to let people who bailed early on come back in. Now even if you like it, you gotta admit that its shaky at best and a right load horseskye at worst. So when they start filming the back nine then they'll have a chance to fix things up a bit (like throwing Skye into a fridge and that fridge into a jet engine), that'll be a midseason retool.

I'm out after the first two and half episodes. I'll come back for the midseason retool and hope that there are enough changes to pick it up again.
