I think the BBC Watson is god-fucking-awful and nothing remotely like the original Watson, but the fact that he's played by Martin Freeman almost makes up for it.

Well, I disagree, obviously... It's really about the only thing that I unreservedly, entirely like about Sherlock.

Actually, what I dislike about him is that he IS a great Watson about half the time...and then suddenly something totally nonsensical and OOC happens with him because of dramatic convenience and I'm like "wait what?"

So I take it back -- I blame the writing, not the character. (Sorry, this really should not have become a wank thread :()
