Yeah, as someone in a fandom that has had one central, functional, amazing archive that has worked just fine since approximately 1996 (AND has a mostly working tag/search system) they can bite me.

Yeah, there are a lot of small archives that have features that AO3 probably hasn't even bothered looking at when they made their "all those other archives suck" claim. AO3 isn't better than them, it's just multi-fandom.

There have been quite a few secrets lately that conflate opinions of the users of AO3 with those of the maintainers of AO3 (the OTW). It annoys me because I used to work on the archive and it's a lot of hard work in exchange for a lot of bad mouthing for opinions and "attitude" no one at the OTW has ever stated.

Anyway, that's my take, but then I'm just a user again, so it's just a user's opinion.
