Re: Obamacare

So it's not even about a controversial act that may be harmful to citizens, it's 100% politics, and obamacare Obamacare is just an excuse? Also, what is it anyway?

It's an act that would make health insurance more affordable and easier for lower-income people to get.

Sorry, I deleted and reposted anon because I remembered the last time I got political on here.

Obamacare is really just an attempt to improve the quality and availability of healthcare for American citizens, even the ones with pre-existing conditions. All it does is require you to purchase insurance, whether from a qualifying private insurance company or off the exchange, or to pay a fine every year if you are uninsured.

Interestingly most of the same voters who claim to despise Obamacare don't actually know what it is or what it entails and are in support of "the Affordable Care Act" when shown it -- even though it is literally the same thing.

Obamacare is a health plan which would allow poor workers to get access to healthcare. The Republicans are screaming to high heavens about that, as if Mitt Romney hadn't done something to this effect in his own state. They're refusing federal money because they value opposing Obama over the lives of their own constituents. Priorities.
