On one hand that makes sense.

On the other hand if you were going by that criteria I'd be straight. I've only been in heterosexual relationships and spent most of my life too terrified to admit to liking girls. I still can't ever tell people in the real world (there's no faster way to make your boyfriend look like a beard).

I guess what I'm saying is appearances shouldn't limit fanfic because who gives a shit.
