Actually despite what you may think , in real life death threats are not common or condoned and people don't expect to get a bunch of them when they state a possibly controversial fandom opinion. On the internet you may be able to get away with stuff like that but irl if you made a death threat or told someone to kill themselves/ drink bleach well you'd get a lot of disapproval (at best) for being such an asshole rather than asspats from immature shrieking tumblrites.

But hey I'm sure you'd like to think that you're rudeness is 'preparing them for the real world!11!!". Surprise it's not. The fact that some people act in ways that range from rude to sociopathic sadist just shows that online it's very easy to say whatever you want without consequences beyond a comment and that temptation is too much for some people.

The people who are bothered by this are not weak and oversensitive. The people who do it are desensitized jerks with poor impulse control.

..people are rolling their eyes that other people are too "oversensitive" to take their death threats.
