Ahh, sounds good. Sorry, in hind sight my question sounded a bit like a pretense to judge you if you wouldn't have close family.

It's just interesting to me under which circumstances people feel ready to have a family that way (it's also a viable option to me).

The moment one has a good net work that is good enough as back drop to help if totally necessary? Or would one want people (maybe of the opposite sex as well) to raise your child with you, in an "uncle"/"aunt" sort of way if one isn't related? I'm still pondering over those questions myself.

Oh, that's ok. I'm not offended or anything.

For me, I don't necessarily mind if the child has a 'father figure', but it depends how it all works out. If it's just through sperm donation, then I suppose my dad and my brothers will be relevant males. If it ends up being co-parenting, then the sperm donor will have a part in the child's life.
