I feel this way about Allison from TW. I vary between hate to indifference for canon!Allison but love most fandom!Allison in fic and art and stuff. It's weird.

This is me too. I've never hated her in canon, but I like her a lot more in fic.

Personally, Claire and Jamie were always my favorite ADA's.

Jennifer Keller is that for me. I don't like her in the show, I dislike the actress in person but I love her in femslash.

Claire and Connie were my favorites. Serena is the one I couldn't stand to watch. (I actually stopped watching the show for a few years because of her.)

I can understand not loving the character. And I can also understand preferring a fandom/fanfic version of her, as those versions tend to play up the aspects that are likable and downplay the less savory aspects of characters. Just enjoy. :)

Me, too, only with several Stargate:Atlantis characters. Laura Cadman? Insufferable on the show, awesome in fic. Same with Evan Lorne (he barely registered on the show) and a few others. Fanfic just did it better.

it delights me that harmon seems to find herself playing characters that are femslash faves when angie harmon herself is... the way that she is.

That's how I feel about a lot of characters, op. Some of the biggest jerks in canon are rescued by fanon, like Ezra Standish in Magnificent Seven. In canon he's a douchecanoe, but I love him in fanon.
