[league of legends pro teams - team curse]

...Curse like...Curse client? /knows nothing about this, sorry.

Curse is a team in the League pro scene.

AYRT

Yeah, I did pick that up - it's more the fact that they have the logo and name design from the client that's throwing me off.

(Anonymous) 2013-10-16 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
:) Yeah, they have the logo and stuff because they're sponsored by Curse. Pretty sure curse sponsors a bunch of teams throughout esports (I seem to recall they had a call of duty team, too).

The people who put out the Curse client for addons and such are probably the people who run the team. Team Liquid does the same.

I'm sympathetic even if I know nothing about LoL. Esports moves very quickly and the people involved aren't always very good at PR - dedication to a team or a player is hard!

(Anonymous) 2013-10-16 04:56 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, esports can move pretty quickly. I follow the Starcraft scene.

Maybe one day I'll latch onto a pro team to like/follow.

Curse does have a nice site/forum, though. S'where I get the majority of my League news from.

I'm more into traditional pro sports but I feel you ;__; Getting attached to a sports team is hell. I'd already been feeling the angst but when one of my favorite players got traded last season I started wishing I were part of 'regular' fandom. At least if your favorite character dies it's part of the story, and at least part of the fandom won't let them fade out.

I HATE SPOOORTS.

Lol....I remember that tournament way back when where they were seated under giant screens, and were told "Now, don't look!". And then some teams were kicked out for cheating, because of course they looked.

(Anonymous) 2013-10-16 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
LOL it's still like that. They don't even build soundproof booths (EVEN AT WORLDS)! Some of the events are a fucking joke but I still enjoy watching the professional scene :D The trainwrecks are just part of the fun.
