I'm really curious, has he ever actually, like, on record denied being gay or said he was straight? All I've read is PR cover up things other people have said, which seems such a ridiculous and pointless effort when everything he actually said about being gay is easily found out there. He's not countered any of it, so he's clearly going along with it or being pressured to go along with it, which is unfortunate, but has he been out there actively talking about loving ladies and only ladies?

That's what I'm wondering. Wikipedia quotes him as saying "Everybody knew me as a gay man, and in my life in London I never tried to hide it" and that his "acting career had not suffered by being out," and then says he started dating a (female) PR exec in 2010 - which to me sounds like he's bi. I can't tell if the stuff in the above comments is from things he's said that didn't make it into Wikipedia, from gossip rags, or from fans extrapolating and thinking they know better.
