You'll get used to them, don't worry. I got my first pair aaaaaaaages ago, in the eighties, heh. I loved them so much! I always had thick/heavy glasses and it was awesome to not have those things on my face anymore. Of course, always a good idea to have a current pair handy for when you're tired/sick/don't want to bother.

I feel kinda...bad? 'Cause it took me about a minute or less to put mine in the first time, and less time to take them out and...it was just never an issue. Maybe 'cause i have such bad eyesight, mine were always a little thicker, so the held their shape really well and weren't whisper-thin, i dunno. I also could put a drop of saline in my eye while driving, i just put it in the outer corner and blinked. My eyes were dry a lot.

Thanks for the advice. Hopefully I'll be able to get used to them because my right one is irritating a bit.

If it's been irritating you for a while/it's still in - take it out. You're only supposed to wear them for a few hours the first few days, anyway, so if it's getting on your nerves, get it out of there and put your glasses on.

My last pair of contacts - gods, ten years ago? More? - every time i blinked, they would *turn*. So then my vision would get blurry and i'd have to fix them (put my fingertips on my eyelids and just kind of slide them toward my nose, thus rotating the contacts on my eyes). Jayzus, that sucked. I had a headache within half an hour or less and it *never stopped*. I stopped wearing them after a week and never got contacts again.

They have a fix for that, now, but yeah - take 'em out, and if they keep bugging you after a few days/a week, talk to your doctor. You may need an adjustment or a different pair.

Oh yeah, I took them out after about 5 hours. :D Will keep them in for a bit longer tomorrow.
